This item does require some work to attach the turkey parts. It does not come with instructions, but I will explain how to attach here…
Step 1.
The legs can be hot glued, brad nailed, or screwed directly to the plaque. Screw method: Remove spacer/hanger from the back of plaque. Next back off screws just enough to remove front plaque. Now on each side of the front spacer block pre-drill (1/8” bit) through tops of leg and into plaque. Then using a 1 1/4” screw tighten the legs down on each side of the front spacer block. The screws will be hidden by your front plate. Then reattach your front, and then your back spacer/hanger to the back.
Step 2.
With the beard I usually pop out the primer of the shotgun shell and drill a hole in the center of the front spacer (1/8” bit). Then I will use 1" screw and screw the shot gun shell to the spacer. Once in place I will fill the shotgun brass with hot glue and insert beard.
Step 3.
A spacer is added to the back to allow room for the wings to be screwed directly to the back of plaque. I typically use 1 1/4” screws and put 2 screws through the wing bone. Be sure to pre-drill and have the wings where you want them before drilling.
Step 4.
The plaque has a slot in the front to accept your tail fan. If too loose hot glue cardboard spacers to the back of fan until you achieve a tight fit.
