This is a flat panel for people wanting to mount their deer skull themselves! This only comes with the wooden plaque and a hanger!
To mount your skull pre-drill a hole directly under brain hole with a 1/8” drill bit. Set your skull on the plaque and get it lined up correctly. Once aligned perfectly mark the plaque directly below your drill hole on the skull with a pencil. Next, pre drill the plaque with a 1/8” drill bit. Once your hole is drilled in the plaque you will want to use a countersink bit on a larger drill bit to ensure the screw head will sit flush. Then drive a 2” screw to attach your skull.
A second screw can be added where the teeth meet the plaque or directly below the standard attachment point. When adding the second screw you can use a 1/8” drill bit and go all the way through the plaque and the back of the skull, create a countersink, and drive screw to add some extra strength.
Stained, burnt, and barnwood are available. Please indicate what type of wood when ordering or the display picture will be assumed. Barnwood will vary and is more fragile and brittle than other types of wood.
Antlers and skull not included.
